Instigating Inquiry: Getting Comfortable with Provocations Certificate of attendance available
Provocations extend and enrich our dialogue with children in tremendous ways. But what is the difference between setting out activities and “offering provocations”? And, where can they fit into your day and your classroom? We’ll look at examples from the schools of Reggio Emilia as well as Hannah’s teaching experiences to find the excitement and flow that provocations can offer our teaching. Facilitator:
Hannah Longley (she/they) has been an educator in several Reggio-inspired and inquiry-based programs.
Host:Jewish Beginnings, a program working to combine the values of the Jewish tradition with inspirations from Reggio Emilia, has graciously offered to provide space for this Gathering.
