A dynamic forum focused on the experience of childhood and the process of learning
Participation and Place
Join the educators of Westwood Early Childhood Center and Boulder Journey School as they reflect on the principles of the Reggio Approach and share how the value and strategy of Participation has helped define their community, foster a sense of place, encourage exploration, and nurture community and innovation. Attendees will be invited to visit classroom environments before and after the morning presentation.
This session will kick-off a series of “maker trainings” hosted by Westwood Early Childhood Center where educators will be invited to explore materials and reflect on how elements found within the natural world can promote wonder, investigation, and inquiry. Registration will be limited and individuals participating in the November training will have early access to these events.
